I
would like to say thanks to some leaders that go above and
beyond the call of duty to their community. Freddie Travis
& Jannell Pedigo worked long hours on preparing for the
golf tournament to be a success as they do each year. Marshall
Bailey sponsors the “Carol Bailey Memory” Annual
Golf Tournament that helps so many people.

Dr. Bharat Mody & Billy Elmore
Dr.
Bharat Mody & Billy Elmore pictured above at the tournament
spent the day handing out water to golf players. Each took
time out of their busy schedules to make the day extra special
for not only the players but the other volunteers as well.
Thank you for your support. Another program they are active
in is Habitat for Humanity. If you need to talk to either
of these men on a Saturday, you can usually find them helping
with a home for a needy family. We can all learn & grow
from their attitudes and dedication.
Our
hearts go out to Mr. Elmore & two other leaders in our
community that have had sudden illnesses, John Murphy &
Dr. David Fant. Please remember them & their families.
When
thinking about volunteering or helping someone, we can all
learn from these community leaders and the Good Samaritan
story that tells us to reach out to our neighbor, because
they need you.
Sincerely,
CMC Coordinator, Tina K. Combs
